Hardware Requirements

Basically, if your machine runs Windows, it will run IES tools. You also need internet connectivity for licensing, crash reporting, online training videos and in some cases, the user's guide. The software will connect to IESCustomer.com, and softwarekey.com via secure https protocols.

Minimum Configuration

• Windows 8, 10+
• 64-bit products require a 64-bit version of Windows
• Internet connection (free trial, licensing, training videos, online help, diagnostics)
• 3GB RAM or more
• Video: 1024x768 resolution or higher
• 150 MB drive space (for ALL IES products)
• 3-button wheel mouse (wheel 'button' configured as a 'middle-click')
• You need administrative privileges to install, but not to run

Video Cards

We have tested products using video cards from all the major players: Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD.  If you have issues, look for video card settings and also the latest driver. (They may be updated frequently.)

We see sporadic issues with the "Quadro" line of video-cards by NVIDIA. These are high-end CAD optimized cards. Usually, tweaking some of the many settings on these cards allow them to function OK with our products.  All other off-the-shelf NVIDIA cards work great.

Not Supported

• Windows 7 might work, but is not supported
• Windows Vista or XP
• iOS or Android/Unix platforms
• Virtual machines (Free trials will not function; licensed installations may function, but graphics and performance may be degraded.)
• Tablet machines, net-book machines, smart phones
