IES Beta Tests
IES Customers are invited and encouraged to preview
and test new products or upgrades before they are officially released. When you take the time to do
this you will help make the product better, potentially earn rewards, and also help insure the product meets YOUR specific needs. Plus you get to use the product free! See 'How to Beta-Test' at the bottom of this page for details about getting started with beta-testing.

How to Beta-Test?
Get Started!
If you would like to help IES test products, please request to get on the beta-testing list. Send an email to 'test @ iesweb.com'.
When pre-release versions are available, take a few minutes with each release to help us uncover any problems and to help us validate that it provides reasonable answers and improves your productivity. Often there is no documentation or examples so you are "on your own" to figure out the program.
Provide Feedback of ANY Kind!
We want to hear suggestions and bug reports, but please do not expect "normal" technical support for this future product...questions may take days to get answered during the testing period. Testers are encouraged to answer questions through trial & error and to narrow-down problems to very specific causes before reporting issues. When you finish testing, drop us an email to describe your experience either good or bad--we really want to know what you think!
Earn Rewards for Your Time
Beta testers are rewarded in a number of ways beyond just early and free access to new tools and features. We often provide cash awards, free or discounted upgrades, and prizes to the best testers. Feedback is graded on quality, timliness, completeness, severity of defects found, and clarity. To maximize your rewards, please explain one bug per email, with a clear subject line regarding the product and problem. Include project files and images (directly in HTML email or via PDF file) to help explain or clarify problems. Typically fewer than 25 IES customers participate in any given beta-test, which means that they direct much of the feature direction! (The squeaky wheel gets the grease.)
